Each child will recieve a packet with a patch and a certificate of completion.  The Discovery Booklet encourages children to become stewards of North Cheyenne Park. Young Rangers should come dressed for the weather with sturdy shoes, water bottle, hat and backpack. Sunscreen and sunglasses are recommended. Program is 1 1/2 hours in length. Tipi Raising and Ute Heritage Workshop (Grades 3-6) Starsmore Discovery Center Call  (719) 385-6086 for more information This program involves packing a travois and setting up an authentic tipi and learning about the way of life of the native Ute People through interactive, hands-on experiences. Program is available on Fridays beginning April 9th Program is also available on Tuesdays for small groups of 16-20 State History Standards 1,2,3,4,5 Program is 3 hours in length.
